The impact of epidemic diseases on job stress and job satisfaction of nurses with an emphasis on organizational resilience (Study case: Mehr Mashhad Hospital)

Abstract
Background: One of the most recent criteria for determining people's occupational health are psychological risk factors that dramatically overshadow people's mental health and job satisfaction. One of the factors that can endanger people's well-being and mental and occupational health is medical challenges and unknown, emerging and epidemic diseases. The aim of the current research is to investigate the impact of epidemic diseases on job stress and job satisfaction of nurses with an emphasis on organizational resilience in Mehr Mashhad Hospital.
Methods: The statistical population of this research was 170 nurses of Mehr Mashhad Hospital, and the sample size was determined by Cochran's sampling method of 118 people. The current research is applied in terms of purpose and descriptive-survey research method. The results of the research in the theoretical foundations have helped the researcher in developing and formulating a conceptual model, in line with which Chang and Cao (2022) questionnaire was used. To measure the validity of the research questionnaire, convergent validity and divergent validity were used and Cronbach's alpha and composite reliability were used to measure reliability.
Results: In order to analyze descriptive and inferential data, SPSS software and SmartPLS structural equation modeling were used.
Conclusion: The results of the research showed that job stress has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, and the perceived threat of covid-19 has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction and job stress of nurses at Mehr Mashhad Hospital. And finally, the variable of organizational resilience plays a moderating role in the effect of the perceived threat of Covid-19 on the occupational stress of nurses in Mehr Mashhad Hospital.
